An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse with a genuine interest in Perinatal services to join our expanding team on The Beeches Mother and Baby Unit. We are recruiting a Clinical Lead Nurse to provide strong clinical leadership to our growing team.

You will be an aspiring leader with the ability to adopt a highly accessible and visible approach for patients, relatives and colleagues.

You will have the ability to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement with a particular emphasis on the patient journey and clinical outcomes.

Main duties of the job

The Lead Nurse will support the team by providing a strong clinical presence, be an excellent role model and be able to deliver compassionate, evidence-based, quality care to those that access our service.

The post holder will present a professional image of nursing to promote a positive image for the trust to service users, carers and the community as a whole.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
  • Have an RMN qualification with at least 1 years clinical experince
Desirable
  • Trained in delivering supervision
  • Experience of mentoring students
  • Perinatal Training
Experience Essential
  • Have experience of working within Perinatal services/and or a genuine interest in the speciality
Desirable
  • Have experience of working with families
  • Have experience of working within acute mental health settings
Knowledge Essential
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current local and national Perinatal policy and drivers
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Perinatal mental illnesses and the impact this has on the ability to care for their infants
Desirable
  • Demonstrate an understanding of management processes and theory
