The Community Therapy Service provides patient centred rehabilitation for patients in the community and short stay beds within Oxfordshire. If you would like an opportunity to assess and provide high quality patient centred rehabilitation and support within a patient's own home environment, then come and work with us.

We are inviting applications from enthusiastic and innovative Band 6 occupational therapists to work with us. You will be working in a team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, mental health clinicians, assistant practitioners and rehabilitation assistants providing short term rehabilitation to enable people to lead as independent a life as possible. You will be working closely with specialist nurses and wider MDT members to provide holistic and patient centred care.

Community therapy is at the forefront of current government initiatives to deliver more healthcare out of acute hospitals and closer to home.

Key elements of this post include managing a varied caseload and assisting with service development and improvement. Flexible working is required for provision of service over 7 days and extended hours (8am-8pm). Hours of work can be discussed on appointment and flexible working patterns are considered.

Excellent education and training opportunities are available to team members such as the frailty course. Ongoing staff support within the appraisal and supervision guidelines are provided.

Own car or access to alternative travel for business use is essential.

The post is predominantly based in the South East locality in Wallingford. There are some short stay beds within this locality which you may also be expected to work in for a short period.
