We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and well-organised research assistant to join Therapy for You (IAPT). This work will involve understanding and analysing the IAPT data set, to help in the delivery of efficient and effective clinical services across Essex, with a particular focus on digital services. The responsibilities of this role will include coordination and collection of research data and psychometric rating. This is a great opportunity to gain further experience in research development.

The successful candidate will need to be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, service users and members of the public, respect individual rights to confidentiality, and complete tasks within set deadlines. They will have a relevant undergraduate Psychology qualification, and be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge and experience.

This is an exciting and innovative opportunity to be a part of a large psychological services team in Essex. This role offers the opportunity to develop interpersonal communication, organisation, time management and documentation skills. Working Hours 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to support and contribute effectively to the activities relating to service improvement which will include supporting the understanding and continued development of the IAPT digital service, as well as the main IAPT services. The post holder will work closely with the Digital Services Manager.



This will include, but not limited to:



. Assist in the development and preparation of project plans.

. Responsible for assisting with the design, data collection and analysis of IAPT data.

. Responsible for assisting with the design, data collection and analysis of online/digital data.

. Supporting staff to understand statistical analysis and reporting on intervention outcomes from the IAPT services and the digital element of the IAPT services.

. The post holder will provide administrative and research support linked to the objectives of the IAPT services.

. The post holder will initiate enquiries relating to project work, be a first point of contact for enquiries and follow through these enquiries, including providing advice, training, support and analysis.
