We are looking for a Specialist Occupational Therapist with experience/interest in working with neurodiversity. This is a wonderful opportunity to be able to help shape the future of integrated working with neurodiversity across Devon Partnership NHS Trust and Devon County Council’s Autism/ADHD services. You will be employed by DPT as part of Devon Adult Autism Interventions Team (DAAIT), but working on a daily basis as part of the DCC team, having access to clinical and professional OT and Autism specific support and supervision structures directly within DPT’s neurodiversity services, and the wider organisations.

About you
You will be part of the DCC ASC/ADHD team, working with the Team Managers/OT Lead to deliver specific OT assessments and interventions to those on the DCC team’s caseload. The OT element of the service is in its infancy, starting in late 2021, and as a result you will have the opportunity to support the senior OT and team managers to further shape the service. We will support you to continue to develop your clinical skills and knowledge base, as well as ensuring you are supported to be part of the organisations OT professional frameworks..
The location
Your day to day base will be Franklyn House, Franklyn Drive, Exeter. This is the team base for the DCC team, and DAAIT This may be subject to alternative arrangements/change for example home working. Please be assured that any alternatives will be discussed fully with you and the organisation. Please ask the appointing manager if you have any questions.

The DCC Specialist Social Care team provides enhanced case management and commissioning capacity, undertaking care assessments, commissioning and case management for autistic adults and /or those with ADHD, or related conditions with complex social care needs The team works on a strength based basis to promote progression towards independence, working closely with criminal justice, education, NHS providers, and colleagues in other DCC teams
