St Austell Community Hospital are looking for a registered Physiotherapists to join the inpatient Therapy team
St Austell community hospital is a 44 bedded unit supporting patients over 16 with a variety of conditions including , Orthopaedics, Neurological and frailty .
The team is a mix of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists who share an office office with community colleagues. This post would therefore be attractive to somebody wishing to gain some community hospital experience in a supported environment , whilst gaining an insight into community Therapy
We will accept applications from 3rd year students due to qualify in summer2022.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of the post is to gain a range of experience within Physiotherapy across the Inpatients setting, providing a high-quality physiotherapy service. To perform a physiotherapy assessment of patients and formulate a diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan which is carried out as an autonomous practitioner.

Person Specification Education Essential
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy
- HCPC registered
- Professional Qualifications taken in English Language or appropriate qualification from the International Language Testing System (IELTS)
- Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team and an understanding of roles
- Broad range of student placements
- Evidence of working locally in NHS setting
