We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and highly motivated Nurse Practitioners who are interested in developing their knowledge and clinical skills in working with people with eating disorders and their families.

We would encourage newly qualified applicants who have had some experience in an eating disorder setting and would like to develop their skills towards a Band 6 role.

The role offers exciting opportunities for direct clinical work and multi-disciplinary team working. You will have opportunities to develop skills in clinical assessment, as well as train in the delivery of evidence-based psychological interventions (eg SSCM, DBT-BED). The role will involve delivering individual and group interventions, undertaking initial assessments as well as being part of our duty rota.

You will join a friendly and supportive, multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, committed to delivering high quality care and promoting recovery. You will receive regular supervision and will have access to a range of learning and development opportunities and have the opportunity to work with friends, families and carers.

The service was rated ‘good’ across all domains in the last full CQC inspection (2014).

For an informal discussion please contact Louise Clifford, EDS Service Manager, or Dr Hannah Turner, Consultant Lead Clinical Psychologist on 023 8081 9000. Informal enquiries and visits are encouraged.

As a registered professional you will automatically become a member of our Academy of Clinical Excellence (ACE) which has a specific focus on the professional development and career progression of our nurses and Allied Health Professionals. As part of ACE’s commitment to you, our development pathway offer for band 5’s includes access to masters level academic study with our partner universities along with a bespoke leadership programme tailored to help you enhance your competence and confidence as a leader during your early career. If you are a newly qualified registrant we will provide you with a structured preceptorship programme to support you in making an effective transition from student to registered practitioner. ACE will support you to progress your journey with us and we offer all our registrants the opportunity to engage in ‘Career Navigation’ conversations which will help you explore your career aspirations and make decisions about your career trajectory.

Please note that we will shortlist sporadically before the closure of this job advert, therefore you will be contacted shortly after you apply.

Happy to Talk Flexible Working - all requests for flexible and part time working will be considered.

Open to Band 5s with some experience of eating disorders or Band 6 currently.

Any attachments will be accessible after you click to apply.
