We share the common goal of becoming the leading provider of integrated care for people of all ages with mental or physical health needs.Based in Lynfield Mount Hospital:Clover Ward - Clover Ward is an award-winning Specialist Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit, for patients over the age of 18 who have been detained under the mental health act.Ashbrook/Oakburn/Maplebeck - Oakburn and Maplebeck Wards are separate Male and Female wards for people aged 18-65 dealing with acute mental Health difficulties.

About youWe're looking to hear from:Band 5 RMN:- Degree or equivalent within mental health nursing or currently undergoing nurse training- NMC registration and a valid live pin (or working towards)- NHS experience as a Band 5 RMNYou will need to be resilient, compassionate and dedicated to providing holistic care. Patient focused and driven to helping encourage recovery of our patients.

Job description Job responsibilities

Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care to patients for whom he/she is identified as named nurse. Holds delegated responsibility for management of the ward on a shift basis. Contributes to the supervision and development of junior staff. Helps to ensure the safety of the ward and unit environments.

Please note all staff members who are working in healthcare premises, working with patients/service users and/or undertaking patient/service user visits will be required to take a twice weekly Lateral Flow Test, and to produce evidence of their negative test result on request. Staff are able to order LFT kits through the Government website free of charge.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
  • Registered Mental Nursing Certificate (RMN)
  • Current Registration on part 3 or part 13 of NMC register
  • Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD)
Desirable
  • ENB 998 or other teaching certificate. Accredited counselling course or equivalent.
Experience Essential
  • Experience of working in a mental health setting either substantively or through placement.
  • For entry onto start of Band 5 as per qualification specification.
Desirable
  • Experience in relevant area of Mental Health Nursing.
  • Involvement in innovative nursing practice.
