Blackpool Community Mental Health Team is seeking to appoint a Band 5 Mental Health Practitioner. This post provides the opportunity for a forward thinking and enthusiastic individual to develop and implement safe, sound and supportive services that embrace the provision of holistic care. With a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary working and the principles laid out in the Recovery Model, you will need to be an innovative thinker and be able to form effective relationships.

Main duties of the job

You will also need to have a working knowledge of the Care Programme Approach (CPA), risk assessment and management, and have the ability to explore issues relating to the impact of health and social needs on mental health and well-being.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse Qualification
  • On-going registration with relevant professional body
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development that supports clinical practice.
Knowledge Essential
  • Can demonstrate an understanding and knowledge base of mental health conditions and their treatments.
  • Can Demonstrate a good working knowledge of Mental Legislation and current Government drivers.
  • Conversant with all aspects of CPA and Mental Health Act
Experience Essential
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team structure.
  • Experience of assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing care needs.
