Opportunity for funded MSc, PgDip or academic module with dedicated study days

We are looking for forward-thinking, compassionate Mental Health Nurses to work on our newly built acute admissions wards at Parklands Hospital. You will be enthusiastic about working with people who experience complex mental health problems and dedicated to providing high quality care.

The role of a Nurse Team Leader is to act as a role-model to the nursing team, leading by example but also using teaching, supervision and support to bring out the best in others. You will be an experienced Mental Health Nurse who is able to apply your knowledge to practice and share your skills with junior staff.

Your professional development is our priority. We offer bespoke training alongside a wealth of available training both through the Trust and at partner universities. There is also the opportunity to benefit from a funded MSc, PgDip or academic module of your choice with dedicated study days. This is available for both nurses joining Southern Health or those applying from another Southern Health service.

We know how important work life balance is. We’re open to flexible working and welcome applications for part time working, condensed hours and fixed patterns of long-days and nights.

Cherry is a purpose-built admissions ward for women opened in August 2021, and Juniper is a men’s admissions ward re-opening following refurbishment in November 2021. Parklands Hospital is located in Basingstoke, close to rail and bus links with free parking on site. The unit is beautifully situated next to open countryside, and we benefit from an on-site nursery on the adjacent Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital site.

We can offer you:

- £2500 Golden Hello or option for funded study

- Relocation package of up to £8000

- Generous leave and pension package

- Relocation package

- High quality training available

- Flexible working welcomed

- NHS Discount Card, with up to 10% discount from well known retail brands

- Free on-site parking

- Excellent travel links

If you have any questions or would like to visit our newly refurbished wards please contact Clare Thomas via email on Clare.Thomas1@southernhealth.nhs.uk
