We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to work in our Older Adults Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. During the last few years the Older Adults Specialist Mental Health Services in Buckinghamshire provides enhanced services and extended hours of operation during the evenings, at weekends and during the core working hours Monday to Friday.

The Older Adults CMHT provides a range of services including Memory Clinics, Assessment, Crisis Intervention and enhanced duty responses plus step up and step down increased support with a focus on prevention of admission. Our Memory Services are accredited as excellent as part of a national accreditation programme in conjunction with the Royal College of Psychiatry. We operate an innovative model of assessment for our clinics with the aim of providing timely assessment and diagnosis following the first appointment and clinics closer to the persons home.

Following CQC inspection the trust was awarded a rating as good. You will be joining services that are already well established, motivated and supportive within a cohesive multi-disciplinary CMHT where your contribution would be highly important and valued. You will be able to play a significant role in helping to continue the development of the service model.

You will be given the opportunity to work in all aspects of the team including the Memory Services. Do you have excellent skills in working with older people with mental health problems? Are you an enthusiastic and resourceful person who is able to work independently and with initiative?
