We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Staff Nurse to work as part of the Multi-disciplinary Team on St Caradog Ward, Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest. The role will be to assess, plan and deliver excellent care for individuals with Mental Health needs on a 10 bedded Adult Acute Admission Ward.

Main duties of the job

You will be expected to work a shift pattern, including night duty, to ensure that patients are supported with their physical, psychological and social needs across a 24/7 period. You will lead in the assessment process in relation to delivering appropriate and skilled interventions.

Full and part time hours will be considered.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification Qualifications and Knowledge Essential
  • RMN / RNMH
  • Sound knowledge of clinical issues within area of practice.
Desirable
  • Student Nurse Practice supervisor
Experience Essential
  • Experience of working with people who have long term mental health needs and who present challenging behaviour / a high risk of violence to others.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and must be willing to undertake identified local courses / study days and mandatory training.
Desirable
  • Have understanding and knowledge of local area and facilities with are that clients may access.
Language Skills Desirable
  • Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
