We are seeking a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS Crisis Assessment & Treatment Team (C-CATT) to work across two sites (Lister Hospital and Watford Clinic)

About your role

The C-CATT (CAMHS Crisis Assessment & Treatment Team) focuses on early intervention for young people in crisis. The team has a response time of four hours.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist in C-CAT, you will be required to work closely with the multidisciplinary team and other agencies as appropriate in providing a comprehensive tier 3+ CAMH service for the under 18 population. The post holder will must also provide psychiatric input to complex, high risk cases presenting in crisis to either the acute hospital, the 136 suite or occasionally within the community.

The post holder must liaise as appropriate with local paediatrics team colleagues, safeguarding colleagues and other multi-agency colleagues to support the care of young people presenting in acute mental health/psychosocial crisis.

You must ensure the relevant professional registration is maintained, including Section 12, Approved Clinician, and Responsible Clinician status.
