Clinical Psychologist - Ash Ward

We are looking for an experienced clinical psychologist who is interested and in working with males at Ash ward a 12 bedded low secure service in Somerset located within easy reach of the M5 and Bridgwater train station.

Please note - this role is suitable to a Band 8a or Band 8b.

The role will be integral to the assessment and formulation of care for our patients, risk management and promoting independence and recovery.

We are looking for someone with excellent clinical skills able to think creatively and work well within a team. The role will include prioritising clinical need for interventions, managing own workload as an integral part of the assessment and formulation for the care of our patients, management of risk to others primarily and promoting recovery.

You will be expected to provide 1-1 patient sessions and provide staff group supervision, support, and play a part in staff development.

We will support you to develop as a clinician and as a clinical leader, through management and clinical supervision, through access to a wide network of clinicians to challenge and encourage you, and through a personal development plan.

Main duties of the job

This service is part of the South West Provider Collaborative therefore this role sits within a wider framework.
