We are looking for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join the South Hams and West Devon OPMH team based at Tavistock. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly experienced and dynamic team as we move in to a more locally delivered service, linking in with our primary care networks

The role is dynamic and challenging. You will manage a complex caseload of organic and functional presentation. Working in a multi-disciplinary way to support the mental health needs of our clients.

About you
You will have significant experience of working with people affected by mental illness in a team environment. The role involves liaising and communicating with various agencies, so we expect that you have excellent verbal and written skills. We expect you to have a good computer skills

Interacting with patients and the public you will be confident in giving clinical information and advice that improves their experience. Dealing with sensitive information daily, you will understand the importance of data security

You will often work under pressure and without direct supervision, so we are looking for someone confident and capable. You will prioritise tasks, and manage your own workload, providing support for your colleagues where required.

You will become an important part of the team, working to ensure that every patient receives high quality care. You may be required to support the induction of new staff member, demonstrating activities to them and providing supervision to support administrators.
