Specialist Neurodevelopmental Clinician (Autism & ADHD)
37.5 hours per week, permanent role
Due to additional investment coming into the service, we are looking to recruit a Specialist Clinician experienced in assessment, diagnosis and interventions for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders, including Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in Coventry. We would welcome applications from Mental Health/Learning Disability Nurses, AHP's such as Occupational Therapist and/or Speech and Language Therapist or Social Workers with the relevant skills and experience. We provide highly specialised assessments and interventions and we are seeking a motivated individual with a keen interest and experience in working with this population.

You will be required to work as part of a motivated multidisciplinary team. This is a dynamic role where you may be working remotely, within community settings such as schools, clinics and family homes. Interventions include Psychoeducation, parent and/or child groups as well as individual work. The Neurodevelopmental Service within CWPT, is one of few in the UK that sits outside of Learning Disability and Mental Health Services and works with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and Dyspraxia. We are a Multi Disciplinary team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists, Paediatricians, Psychiatrist, Specialist Neurodevelopmental Clinicians and Neurodevelopmental Practitioners. There is a shared vision in the team for achieving the best possible outcomes for children, young people and adults with a neurodevelopmental condition.

Person Specification Experience Essential
- Experience of collaborative multidisciplinary and multi-agency work
- Significant experience as a clinician in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services and/or Neurodevelopmental Services
- Ability to travel independently in a timely manner
- Evidence of post registration training to masters level or equivalent
- Registered Mental Health Nurse, with postgraduate training in neurodevelopmental disorders and standardised diagnostic assessments or equivalent as described in the person spec
