At Leicester Partnership Trust IPS Employment service, we have an exciting opportunity for a full time and a part time Band 5 Employment specialists to join our friendly and inspiring team as an IPS Employment Specialist. Your role will be a permanent position, full time hours being 37.5 hours per week 9-5 Monday to Friday.
The service provides employment services to patients open to the Community Mental Health Teams and Early intervention service.
Our IPS (individual placement support) Employment Service supports people experiencing severe mental illness to find competitive, paid employment. We also offer a job retention service for people in employment who are at risk due to their mental illness that is tailored to them. Employment Specialists work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the community to build relationships with clinical staff, service users, carers and employers.
A significant part of this role will consist of employer engagement and supporting individuals once they have found work to remain employed.
We are keen to recruit an Employment Specialist who can work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and who have the skills to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
The successful candidate will require experience in recruitment and mental health as stated in the job specification. They will also be expected to understand the IPS model and principles .
