Specialty Doctor - Urgent Care Liaison Psychiatry, Blackpool (10PA)
*Golden Hello payment Payable*
This post is eligible for a 5% payment of basic salary payable over 2 years
We are seeking to recruit a substantive Specialty Doctor in General Adult Psychiatry to work in the Acute and Urgent Care Pathway on the Fylde Coast. This is a new and innovative full time (10PA) post funded to support the continuing development of our response to acute Mental Health presentations.
Main duties of the job
The Trust is seeking a Specialty Doctor to support our Urgent Care Pathway delivery including a responsive and timely approach to completing Mental Health Act Assessments within the locality. It is envisaged this role will work into our locality Emergency Department at Blackpool Victoria Hospital with the Mental Health Liaison Team (MHLT) and our Home Treatment Team, based at The Gateway Centre in Blackpool. However, please note, the locality is in the process of developing its new Initial Response Service (IRS), and it is anticipated there will be a shift in focus of this role to work into that service at some point in the future dependent on the evolution of our urgent care pathway.
The main clinical duties are arranged around conducting assessments and clinics for new patients and follow up reviews predominantly within the Home Treatment Team and also working to support the activity of the Mental Health Liaison Team.
There may be the opportunity to join the On Call rota, for which additional remuneration is available.
