Improving physical health for people who have a Learning Disability continues to be a strong focus for our Learning Disability services. You will contribute to the delivery of high quality, safe care and will support the development of clinical pathways that meet national Learning Disability guidance within the organisation.
You will manage and provide clinical leadership to a Physiotherapy Assistant and Physiotherapy students predominantly in the community.
You will carry a specialist clinical caseload, delivering highly skilled Physiotherapy assessment and treatment to adults who have a Learning Disability and complex physical and neurological problems.
You will be based in a single point of access L.D. therapy team collaborating closely with other health professional peers such as Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Nurses, Psychologists etc
The successful candidate will assist the Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner and Principal Physiotherapist in planning, evaluating and developing the Physiotherapy service in line with the: Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, NICE and NHS England guidance.Person SpecificationEssential or DesirableEssential
- Current HCPC Registration to work as a Physiotherapist within the UK
- Ability to move equipment between appointments in the community
- Current UK Visa for UK working
