This is a fixed term post for 9 months to cover maternity leave.
If you are a Swansea Bay University Health Board employee this post will only be offered on a secondment basis and you will need to have gained your line managers approval for the secondment prior to going to interview.
The post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidenced-based nursing care, working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
Assist in the management and organisation of their clinical area and participating in the education, development and supervision of other staff members.
Main duties of the job
Working alongside the staff nurses and other Multi-disciplinary team members you will learn how to look after the complex needs of the palliative care patient as well as supporting the family and support network.
Working in Specialist Palliative Care is a great opportunity if you are looking for a new challenge and want to further develop skills which you have gained in other clinical areas.
We are looking for motivated, compassionate and enthusiastic staff nurse to join the Specialist Palliative Care in -patient unit team in Ty Olwen.
