Southampton CAMHS are looking for an CAMHS clinician to continue with the development and leadership of our Eating Disorders pathway. The candidate will have significant experience of working with children, young people and their families with eating disorders and mental health needs. They will bring to the team experience of service development, leadership and expertise in the field of eating disorders.

We welcome applications from a range of registered professional bodies including (but not exclusive to) Nursing, Clinical Psychologist, Family Therapist. Applicants will require professional registration with a statutory body: the Nursing Midwifery Council, General Social care council, Health professional's council, BABCP, ACP or UKCP.

As a lead clinician the post holder will need to provide expert professional and clinical leadership across the service. Providing expert consultation and supervision to other clinical members of the team. You will offer specialist assessment and treatment for young people who present with a significant eating disorder. You will provide liaison, consultation and support to other agencies and work closely with our partners in pediatrics and inpatient CAMHS. You will be supported to take on a leadership role to ensure service development and provide leadership cover when required to support the service.

There is an expectation that this post holder will be able to offer flexible working hours which may include evening and weekend work.

As one of the senior members of the team, you will work alongside senior staff and contribute to the team’s development, as we continue to strive to be an accessible, responsive and innovative service with patient care and patient experience at its heart. There will be opportunities to develop your leadership and strategic skills with support from senior colleagues. For example, you may contribute to service development, quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives, service user involvement, audit, and research.
