Make a difference with us.
Are you an experienced CAMHS Clinician with a passion for early help and intervention? Do you believe in bringing strong evidence based interventions in at the earliest stage of service delivery? Do you want to make a difference for children and young people with neurodiverse needs?
If you are looking for somewhere you can make a real difference and are passionate about keeping children and young people at the heart of what you do then a career with us may be just what you’re looking for. At Solent NHS Trust, we strive to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of our communities.
Our early help service supports children and families when challenges first emerge to avoid the need for more complex interventions later on. We build on families strengths to resolve their own difficulties and prevent further problems emerging. We have three teams in Southampton who work out of community hubs to bring early intervention in mental health to local communities in the most accessible and responsive way. The three teams consist of a range of professionals including social workers, health visitors, school nurses and family support workers.
We are looking for Clinical Leads to join our team as we expand and develop our mental health pathways. We are looking for colleagues who have experience in working, and leading, within child and adolescent mental health services and with an absolute passion for early intervention and prevention within a multi-agency environment.
Our prime focus in this role is in increasing the skill set of our Early Help Teams to best meet the needs of children and young people with neurodiverse needs and their families. You will have a solid understanding of the varied needs of children and young people with neurodiversity. You will be passionate about creating services which are inclusive and responsive to need. You will have experience in delivering evidence based interventions tailored for children and young people with neurodiverse needs and be experienced in supporting parents and carers in meeting their child’s needs.
You will be linked to the wider Solent NHS CAMH Structure for ongoing professional development and support. The CAMHS team is a strong and supportive team and has excellent structures to offer regular supervision. You will be working alongside an established clinical leadership team at an important time in our development. It really is an exciting time to be joining us as we push forward with implementing new ways of working in order to best meet the needs of the population we work with.
If you wish to have an informal conversation regarding the post please contact Dan Buckle at Dan.Buckle@solent.nhs.uk
We will contact you via NHS Jobs if you are shortlisted for interview. Candidates selected for interview will be contacted before the given interview date; therefore you should check your emails regularly including junk mail folders.
