We are looking for a motivated clinician with experience or interest in management, to join our South Gloucestershire CAMHS locality team based at Kingswood Hub and Patchway Hubs. You will have relevant qualification, core profession registration and experience of working with children and young people, preferably within a community CAMHS service.

We are a supportive, experienced and creative multi-disciplinary team. We offer individual, family, specialist and group interventions which may be time limited or longer term therapies according to need. You will have the opportunity to utilise your existing clinical skills within core work and/or specialist clinics (eg Specialist CBT, Family Therapy, Eating Disorder clinic) and managerial skills with a vibrant, passionate workforce. Also to further develop your skills and experience with support from our experienced team and our training opportunities.

37.5 hours per week (Mondays-Fridays). F lexible working pattern considered for suitable candidate.

Main duties of the job

Working in partnership with the Clinical Service Manager and senior leadership team the post holder will ensure excellent clinical standards are maintained within the team, and ensure the best use of available resources by delivering positive outcomes for individual service users and their families. The post holder will manage, direct and lead a recovery orientated, multi-disciplinary integrated team in a community mental health setting, following Trust and national service models for the provision of mental health care in line with defined practice and to evidence this through defined performance measures.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Appropriate professional qualification


Desirable

  • Post-registration training in leadership/management
  • Post-registration qualification in a specific therapeutic modality. Specific to eveidence based intervention with children and young people.


Experience

Essential

  • Significant post-registration experience working in a secondary mental health or social care environment
  • Experience of working directly with children, young people or families
  • Experience of offering advise/consultation to other professionals


Desirable

  • Experience in a similar role or some experience of leading/managing services.
  • Experience of working with people experiencing significant trauma/serious mental health difficulties
  • Good knowledge/understanding of safeguarding/child protection procedures.
  • Experience of providing supervision clinical/managerial.
