An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CAMHS Single Point of Access (SPA) lead to work within a friendly and forward thinking CAMHS Team. Southampton CAMHS has a growing workforce with a number of opportunities for service development and cross pathway/agency working within the City and across Solent. The post holder is responsible for the professional and managerial leadership of the CAMHS Single Point of Access and other activities related to the ‘front door’ of CAMHS. The post holder will work with the Team Manager and clinical leads to develop and maintain relationships with third sector partners, schools and Childrens services in the delivery of high-quality interventions and work as a collaborative partner to ensure children and young people are receiving the right level of intervention at the right time, with the right service.

This post has been developed to strengthen and ensure children and young people access a service, implementing principles of the ithrive model within a whole city approach. This is an exciting opportunity in working Corroboratory with the team and other organisations ensuring mental health is everyones business and referral pathways/criteria are shared and understood across the city, both with professionals and service users.

The successful candidate will supervise other members of the team.

We are looking for a confident CAMHS professional with a demonstrable track record of providing leadership, service development, delivering good quality evidence-based interventions, and offer supervision. This position calls for a professional with significant experience of working with children, young people and their families experiencing mental health difficulties. We are looking for a CAMHS Single Point of Access Lead who will share our passion to deliver the best quality care experience for children and their families. We are interested in supporting candidates developing their areas of particular interest where there is a strong service need. Experience of service development and leadership, alongside the right attitude, skills and knowledge are fundamental to this role.
