Calling Speech and Language Therapists!
Due to internal promotions we are excited to offer Band 5 opportunities for innovative and enthusiastic therapists to join our friendly teams in South West Hampshire and Southampton.
We are a large, dynamic and integrated therapy team which includes a number of specialist therapists and clinical pathway leads for the wider Hampshire area. We offer a thorough induction, supported by a robust supervision structure with joint working across the team, and a timetable that incorporates a range of development opportunities. This post would be suitable for a newly-qualified practitioner, and specific guidance is available to support the achievement of RCSLT competencies.
You will be based locally within the South West Hampshire Locality (which covers Andover/ Winchester/ Eastleigh/ New Forest areas), or Southampton City Locality, working across clinics, preschools and/or mainstream schools as required, with the opportunity to gain experience into more specialist settings and working alongside experienced and dynamic therapists.
You will be flexible, friendly and willing to work closely with others, both within therapies and as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of the clinical service. You will be keen to manage a basic caseload independently, identifying and seeking support as required.
You will have excellent foundation skills including a basic working knowledge of everyday clinical assessments and therapeutic interventions, and be confident to use a range of familiar assessment tools; you will be able to communicate with others in a warm and accessible way and have an enthusiastic approach to learning within this role.
A Speech & Language Therapy degree, RCSLT and HCPC membership are essential requirements for this position.
However we would also welcome applications from newly qualified therapists or those due to qualify shortly. We have an established preceptorship programme and local group and individual clinical supervision.
