Our early help service supports children and families when challenges first emerge in an attempt to avoid the need for more complex interventions later on. We aim to build on people’s strengths to resolve their own difficulties and prevent further problems emerging. The three teams in Southampton are locality based from seven different centres across the city. Teams consist of a range of professionals including social workers, health visitors, school nurses and family support workers.

Are you an experienced family/systemic therapist who wants to have the time and opportunity to offer high quality support to families in the community? Are you looking to affect change through the power of relationships?

If so, then Southampton’s 0-19 early help service is looking for an enthusiastic Family Therapist with experience and creativity to join our team. This is an exciting time to join us as we are investing in and expanding our early help services to provide collaborative, pro-active support to families before issues escalate to require more complex/statutory intervention.

We are planning to embed systemic practice as a bedrock for our relationships with families and you can play a key role in driving this vision forward with enthusiasm and passion. This role provides the opportunity for clinical work as well as consultation with individual staff and professional networks as well as the chance to shape the culture and values of the service going forward.

We would love to welcome you if you feel the above applies to you and you have the appropriate registration (BABCP/UKCP).

If you wish to have an informal conversation regarding the post, please don't hestiate to get in contact with Charlie Jackopson (Onboarding Administrator) at charlie.jackopson@solent.nhs.uk
