The Veteran’s High Intensity Service (HIS) is an exciting and innovative new pilot service being delivered in partnership between SABP and Solent NHS Trust. The HIS service provides support to veterans across the Surrey Heartlands area who are experiencing emotional/social crisis. The HIS team, made up of the band 7 lead practitioner role and two veteran’s voluntary sector workers, provides short-term clinical support, bridging to a range of community services and training/advice to other health and social care professionals on veteran-sensitive care.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative qualified mental health professional (RMN, Social worker or OT) to take a lead role in developing and delivering the service. You will be closely supported with clinical supervision, management support from the veteran’s clinical lead and regular peer support from neighbouring HIS service leads.
This exciting role will involve working autonomously in conducting detailed assessment, formulation and providing case management for veterans in crisis living in the local community.
You will be working collaboratively with professionals across SABP, as well as partner organisations in the voluntary and commissioned service sectors, to develop veteran sensitive pathways for psychological, emotional and social support.
Though not essential, this role would particularly suit clinicians with experience of working with veterans with complex emotional and social needs.
For further details please contact: Dr Phil Anderson: Philip.anderson@sabp.nhs.uk, 07990772424. Associate Director of Therapies – Adult, Older Adult and Specialist Services, Trust Clinical Lead – Veteran’s Services
