Mental Health Nurse - Interventions Practitioner

Psychological Therapies Hub
We are looking for enthusiastic staff to join the Psychological Therapies Hub across both Dudley and Walsall to deliver individual and group based psychological interventions to service users who are under the care of adult secondary care mental health services; however we also work with a proportion of clients who are under the main care of their GP.
Main duties of the job
We would like to find dynamic staff with a desire to have the opportunity to develop their psychological therapies knowledge and skills in a supportive, caring environment. We are keen to support career development and progression.
The successful candidate will lead and/or co-facilitate the delivery of a wide range of group therapeutic interventions. They will also deliver psychological therapy interventions on a 1:1 basis to a caseload of individual clients. The clinician will have access to regular supervision to support and enable their practice development. The team is compiled of a range of professionals including nurses, occupational therapists and psychologists.
About us
The post is based in Walsall, but the role will be pan-borough and the successful candidate will be expected to work both across Dudley and Walsall as required by the service.

We are looking for staff with a core professional clinical qualification who can demonstrate extensive post registration clinical skills in psychological therapies, working with service users within secondary mental health.
All candidates are expected to be registered with the NMC and evidence will be required at interview.

Person Specification Education/Qualifications Essential
- Registered mental health nurse qualification, Dip/HE in Nursing, BSc Nursing
- Professional Registration (NMC)
- Evidence of further education, and development e.g CBT workshops/certificates)
- Experience of working within mental health services
- Experience of working within groups
- Experience of supporting a range of therapeutic interventions in a mental health context
- Evidence of CBT skills and willingness to work towards further qualifications
- Evidence of continued development or training
- Knowledge of NHS issues and current policies and practices in mental health
