This is a multi-skilled role within a close knit, supportive team working closely with patients and families to support them in the Community. Equally suited to a newly qualified or more experienced Registered Nurse, who wants to get a high level of job satisfaction and make a real difference to a variety of patients in Clinic and Community setting. We are a small team of Community Nurses based in Lynton Health Centre with a practice population of around 3500 spread over a wide geographical area. The team provides a fully comprehensive Nursing service to the local population, and its many holidaymakers, covering Community, Practice and Minor Injury Nursing in a Clinic and Community setting. We are proactive and work closely with the GP Practice, local Carers and Care Home to support patients and their families. Our aim is to support people at home and provide effective preventive care that keeps admissions to a Hospital or 24 hour setting to a minimum.

If you are an experienced Registered Nurse looking for the opportunity to deliver holistic and compassionate care and get to know your patients and their families, or newly qualified and looking to develop diverse skills in Primary care nursing with a view to career progression, this could be the opportunity you have been looking for! We believe in caring for our colleagues as well as we care for our patients and have good staff retention rates.

There are opportunities here to enhance and develop skills in venepuncture, clinical assessment and minor injury treatment, acute and chronic wound care and leg ulcer management. We provide some practice Nursing services for the GP practice. We also deliver palliative and end of life care to patients in the community and 24 hour setting.

Working Pattern: 7 day service shifts 08:00 - 18:00 or 09:00 - 17:00
