We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to work in the Fylde Coast Older Adult Community Mental HealthTeam (CMHT) based at Shorelands, 292 Central Drive, Blackpool. We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual, with an interest in working with older people.
Main duties of the job
You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and would be expected to have a good knowledge of organic / functional mental health illnesses and the impact that these illnesses have on our older adult community.
You will be joining a dynamic and busy service with a range of professionals and support staff.
After a period of induction / preceptorship, involvement in the team's development is integral to this role via supervision of other staff and mentoring students.
We equally promote professional development via internal / external training to meet professional and revalidation requirements.

Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
