Ward 30 is a 27 bedded ward within the Department of Medicine for Older People & Stroke at Aintree. We have a full time vacancy for a highly motivated, dynamic individual who is enthusiastic and passionate about caring for older people.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Team Leader to develop their leadership skills and work within a dedicated and committed established team.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate should have at least 2 years post registration experience in acute medicine and have a passion for working with the older person. You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, team working skills and be dedicated to improving patient experience. You will help provide strong clinical leadership and act as a role model whilst demonstrating a caring and compassionate leadership style and be able to demonstrate continuing professional development and a strong commitment to develop others and work closely with the multidisciplinary team.

Job responsibilities

The post holder will work without direct supervision and will take charge of the ward/department in the absence of the ward manager, who holds continuing responsibility

Key responsibilities will include, development implementation and evaluation of program's of care, effective leadership and staff management and development

The post holder will always work within the NMC's code of conduct
