There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced NMP Mental Health Practitioner to join the Primary Intermediate Mental Health Team. The successful post holder will take an active role in the clinical leadership for the ASD and ADHD pathways within the team. They will work in collaboration with the management team in leading the service on a day to day basis. As well as collaboration with valued stakeholders and partners to grow and develop the team. The focus of this role is providing 1:1 clinics, prescribing, staff supervision and develop close links with the wider networks to provide excellent support for adults with ADHD and ASD.

Main duties of the job

This role will have a focus around the clinical leadership of the service.

This will include but is not exhaustive to:
  • Supporting the delivery of an integrated approach to patient care across all professions in the service
  • Provision of NMP clinics
  • Provision of ASD and ADHD clinics
  • Identifying and addressing areas of clinical development across the service.
  • Providing training from their own area of expertise.
  • Managing the performance of staff.
  • Managing complex issues in the care of patients such as safeguarding risks or self neglect.
  • Ensuring safe staffing levels are in place.
  • Supporting the wellbeing of staff.
  • Facilitating effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as other providers and Primary Care Networks.

This role would suit an individual with leadership experience and a dynamic mindset regarding how the service can best meet it's current and future objectives.

Person Specification

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

  • Clinical qualification to degree level or equivalent.
  • Training and experience in clinical management.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • State registration with the NMC/HCPC
  • V150 or V300 qualification or willingness to work towards
  • Training and experience in leadership


Experience

Essential

  • Minimum 4 years post registration clinical experience in a community mental health setting at band 6
  • Experience managing people.
  • Experience managing change.
  • Problem solving.
  • Multidisciplinary/ Multi-agency working.
  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience in handling complaints
  • Facilitating/chairing meetings
  • Experience/awareness of HR processes, eg recruitment, absence management, staff management
  • Experiencing of running nurse lead clinics
