You would be working closely with a large Team, providing care for our Endoscopy patients and assisting the Endoscopists with a wide range of endoscopic procedures.
Our service in constantly expanding and we require applicants with a strong sense of commitment to delivering high quality patient focused care.QEHB Endoscopy department provides a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including:
Upper and Lower GI Endoscopy -- Gastroscopies, Trans-nasal Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Flexi Sigmoidoscopies, ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound Scan (EUS), Bronchoscopies, Capsule Endoscopy, Transbronchial and Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS).
We provide a 24/7 day Endoscopy and Emergency Endoscopy service which includes an overnight on-call service to deliver emergent procedures to QEHB patients. The applicant will be expected to collectively support the on-call needs of the service.Main duties of the job

The role will include all aspects of Endoscopy and full training will be given within the department as successful applicants gain experience across the wide range of procedures we undertake.
We have an extensive competency based training pack and full support will be given to ensure you are able to work in both our inpatient and outpatient areas caring for all types of patients having routine and emergency procedures.
The Nursing Team works collaboratively across all specialties alongside a variety of medical and service staff. The variety of both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures carried out at QEHB demonstrates how interesting this role can be for the right person. The role requires a certain level of physicality as we transfer patients between procedure rooms and ward areas and also standing/assisting for long periods of time during the running of full lists.

- * Evidence and ability to revalidate as required by the NMC
