An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Chichester Centre for the role of admin team leader due to career progression. We are looking for a highly experienced senior administrator to take on this role. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide administrative support and lead the admin team.
The Chichester Centre is a secure mental health unit, comprising of 3 wards (49 beds), part of the Forensic Healthcare CDS.
Main duties of the job
Working directly to the matron and service manager the admin team leader will ensure a highly efficient and effective administrative support service is provided that is responsive to the needs of the centre and CDS as well as ensuring that the service is consistent and to a high standard.
The team currently consists of ward clerks and team PAs for the centre of which line management will be provided by the admin team leader.
You will need to possess good communication skills, have experience of supervising admin staff, show flexibility and the ability to work to tight deadlines. You will need to be able to demonstrate strong administration and IT skills and be solution focused. You will need to develop good working relationships with key people within the CDS and play an active part in developing a culture of performance management in order for the CDS to meet targets.
The role will also include an element of site management as well as administrative support to the matron and service manager.
