Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust is developing dynamic new Integrated Acute Assessment Units. If you are looking for something new and challenging, we are interested in hearing from you. We are currently based on Ward B2 however plans are in progress to amalgamate with Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) in a newly refurbished department - January 2024
We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical sister for IAAU based at Grimsby Hospital. The ethos of IAAU is to provide clinical care to patients, support staff clinically and also the senior management team. It will be an expectation that in the absence of the ward manager and deputy ward manager that you will deputise and have full oversight of the clinical area. These roles are crucial to delivering safe patient care whilst supporting the continuous development and education of our staff. The successful candidate will be forward-thinking, dynamic and have a positive attitude in regard to adapting to change and towards delivering the trust's visions and values. The candidate will be reliable, trustworthy and assertive that demonstrates an ability to manage a well-established team with a focus on staff training improvements.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant must have 2 years' experience as a Band 5/6 in an acute setting, with experience of shift leading. You will also need to be compassionate and a 'hands on' Clinical Sister. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, and you should be able to motivate the team to achieve and surpass the expectations of our patients, visitors and colleagues. As a Senior Member of the team, you will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills and be confident in your clinical and communication skills.
