Dorset HealthCare is the first mental health trust providing community services in the South to be given an Outstanding rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) – and one of only a small handful nationally.

Bournemouth Core-Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service teams are seeking to recruit full time qualified Cognitive Behaviour therapists.

This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated CBT Therapists, who have experience of working with young people and their families with mental health difficulties. If you enjoy team working and making sure that we deliver the best possible outcomes we can for young people, we would love to hear from you.

The post holders will provide CBT expertise into either Bournemouth C-CAMHS team and will provide evidence based interventions via one to one and group sessions to identified children, young people and families working alongside multi-agency statutory and voluntary agencies. You'll also have access to everything you need to work both in clinic settings and remotely at home. You'll have some face to face contact with young people and other members of the multi disciplinary team, but you'll feel confident to deliver some CBT interventions online. There will be opportunity for further professional development.

This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week.

For the right candidate a remote only contract will also be considered.

The post holder will also be required to provide clinical supervision and consultation to health colleagues and other agencies.

It is essential that you have or will have a CBT qualification relevant to working with Children and Young People, and experience of working with children & young people with mental health problems. If you do not currently hold a qualification to deliver CYP IAPT CBT specific Supervision, you will be supported to obtain and develop skills within the core competency framework for CYP IAPT supervision, and expected to attend training within a reasonable period of time.

It is an exciting time to join our CAMHS services, our community services are rated Good and our inpatient unit is rated as Outstanding. We have been fast tracked by NHSE to deliver New Care Models providing a closer to home crisis home treatment service. We are also part of the national trailblazer to deliver Mental Health Support Teams in schools across 3 pilot sites in Dorset. NHSE have commissioned Dorset Healthcare to build a new state of the art 8 bed PICU. We've also recently launched a 'Single Point of Access with Brief Intervention Service' called The Gateway, with increased access to treatment and a new self referral pathway for young people aged 16+. Our new CAMHS Digital offer is gathering pace too, and a range of online psychoeducation opportunities are newly available.

If you are interested in moving to Dorset we also offer a generous relocation package of up to £10,000. For further details on relocation expenses please email dhc.careers@nhs.net
