This is a permanent post suitable for a Registered Nurse, the primary role is assisting with procedures within the Gynaecology Day Suite at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals.Full or part time hours are available.
At present core hours are Monday - Friday between 8.30 - 17.30. Evening & weekend clinics are an option & a flexible approach to varying hours is essential.
Main duties of the job
Our department cover a range of procedures including colposcopy, hysteroscopy, and bladder botox in our outpatient clinics. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills rotating through the clinics.As an integral member of the team the post holder will assist and participate in the smooth running of the department.
We require an enthusiastic Staff Nurse who is highly motivated, open to change and can demonstrate excellent communication skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. An interest in medical devices and appraisal would be an advantage. A certificate in cervical cytology or willing to complete the course is essential.
