We are hiring a Highly Specialised Speech and Language Therapist to work in our Community Adult Learning Disability Team in Havering.
This position is part of an integrated Multi disciplinary team, working with social workers, care assessors, occupational therapists , nurses, psychologists, art therapists, behaviour specialists, psychiatrists and physiotherapists to provide the best care to our service users.
This is position is eligible for a welcome payment equivalent to 10% of your annual basic salary (subject to welcome paymentTerms and conditions).
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be required to:

This process aims to deliver a new sustained model of working for our teams by ensuring you are able to provide your service in a way that best works for each team member and service user, therefore the successful post holder will be required to engage, review and feedback in this process to support the best possible outcomes for all.

This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of �4,108 and a maximum payment of �5,177).

- Independently manage of a caseload of adults with dysphagia and communication difficulties with a diagnosis of Learning Disability, by planning, delivering and reviewing their individual packages of care.
- Guide service users, their support, colleagues and management by utilising skills, knowledge and practicalexperience to inform best practice care.
- Provide clinical supervision, second opinions and support to less experienced members of staff.
- Ensure outcome measures are embedded across the team .
- Use a quality improvement approach to evaluate and review performance and activity to contribute to service development.
