We are looking for a very highly motivated individual who wants to work within the Education team to support and grow the team of around 70 staff and ensure the high standards of care are maintained.
Each day brings new challenges and requires an ability to think outside the box.
You will need to have a positive forward thinking approach to work and be able to take on new projects and training relevant to the post. You will also need to be flexible and able to travel and attend training days.
Full support will be given for Further education as role modelling is essential.
Main duties of the job
Working alongside trained staff clinically, Teaching at the bedside and in the classroom. Arranging and participating in Cross site working and organising in house study days.
Completing competencies with staff and setting deadlines from all bands of staff.
Regular one to one meetings which will require excellent communication skills and the ability to diffuse situations.
Organising all new starters/ students which involves allocating off duty and planning the induction process.

Job responsibilities
Once your pre-employment checks have been completed you will be contacted by Recruitment to arrange your start date which will be in line with one of our Corporate Inductions.
Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please email mtw-tr.professionalstandards@nhs.net if this is problematic)and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check at Enhanced Level. (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children)
