Specialist Clinician with the Colorectal Healthy Bowel Service at LUHFT
This is an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Clinician to support the Colorectal Healthy Bowel Service managing patients across Merseyside with functional bowel disorders including constipation, obstructive defecation and faecal incontinence.
Working with the Colorectalmultidisciplinary team across Liverpool University Hospitals you will play a key role in contributing to this high quality patient centred service including involvement and participation at MDT meetings and outpatient clinics.
On a day to day basis you will have your own out-patient clinic stream, providing specialist assessment of Healthy Bowel Clinic patients, ordering and interpreting appropriate investigations and using sound clinical reasoning skills to implement agreed treatment plans within local and national guidelines. You will be supported by the Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Colorectal Consultants and Managers in further developing your skills in order to fulfil this role.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for providing specialist assessment and treatment ofpatients presenting with functional bowel conditions ensuring appropriatepathways of care and communications via liaison and referral to otheragencies as required.? To liaise with a team of Clinicians and assist in the implementation ofservices within the clinical governance framework.? To provide optimal patient care ensuring high standards of clinical practice.? To prepare and deliver audit projects and presentations as required toraise the profile of the service.? Lead an area of specialty within the Healthy Bowel Clinic

- Current registration with HCPC / NMC
