CHILDREN'S PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Band 5
0.86 WTE (term time working) fixed term until 31.03.2026. There is a possibility that this may be extended further.
We are looking for a dynamic therapist to join our team as a Band 5 Physiotherapist you will work in a primary and secondary focus provision mainstream school, enabling children and young people with physical disabilities to lead fully inclusive, healthy and satisfying lives.
This is an exciting opportunity to creatively think outside the box, shape service delivery and work collaboratively with colleagues in education, and families, to help children and young people achieve their goals.
You will be predominantly based within the 2 schools, whilst being connected to a large, established and integrated OT, Physio and Speech & Language Therapy Team. We offer excellent support and CPD opportunities to enable you to be the therapists you aspire to be.
As this is a community post you will need a current UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, with business insurance, to meet the travel requirements of these posts.
Main duties of the job
Assess and treat children in the community that are presenting with physical difficulties impacting on their quality of life and ability to carry out functional activities - primarily in neurology.
Teaching parents/carers movement and positioning programmes
Early years clinics
Clinic appointments
Home/school/nursery visits
Play groups
Supporting students.
Writing reports for Education, Health and Care Plans.
We offer excellent support training & supervision and have a strong commitment to continual professional development.

Have a degree/diploma in physiotherapy
Be registered with HCPC and CSP
Have experience of working with children and young people
Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills
Demonstrate effective organisational skills
Have a current driving license and have access to a car
