�1500 - New Hire Bonus
The permanent posts are eligible for a �1500 New Hire Bonus. An initial payment of �500 will be paid in the first 1 month and a final payment of �1000 will be paid 1 year after your start date. We are currently looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Mental Health (MH) Practitioner to join our St Ives Neighbourhood Team (NT) Older People's Service. This is a great opportunity to join our friendly and passionate Team working with a specialised client group.
You will not only be part of an established well integrated MH team including CPNs, psychologists, Consultant Psychiatrist, MH Support Worker, Social Workers, and will be part of the exciting Integrated Care model built around NT's.
We are motivated to provide a service-user focused, evidence-based interventions for people aged 65 and over living in their own homes/care homes with both Functional/Organic mental health illness. We seek to provide high quality and effective treatment, care and support which is informed by your professional body.
The post has opportunities to develop skills and knowledge via training and working alongside experienced practitioners and to be involved in service improvement.
Main duties of the job
You will have the opportunity to manage a caseload of service users, delivering a diverse range of clinical skills delivering therapeutic and recovery-based interventions. We seek to empower service users and carers to actively engage in their recovery journey, working alongside a range of third sector organisations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under pressure at times, and with a desire for innovation. We are able to support agile working for staff, using all appropriate I.T equipment and support.
This service covers St Ives, Huntingdon and the surrounding rural areas.

- Mental Health practitioners in Neighbourhood Teams will provide assessment and interventions for people with significant mental health conditions
- Offer training, advice and guidance to colleagues in the neighbourhood team on common mental health conditions.
- Participate in Neighbourhood Team MDT meetings and ensure key information is recorded in shared care plans
- Work closely with the mental health integrated care team in order to provide an excellent mental health service.
