The NCA are delighted to offer posts for qualified nurses who have completed a nursing preceptorship to join our maternity service. As one of our maternity nurses you'll work alongside our midwifery team, and the wider MDT, on our enhanced recovery ward, labour ward and postnatal ward and will provide clinical care for women, birthing people and their families in the postnatal period.
We have opportunities for both Band 5 and Band 6 qualified nurses and would particularly welcome applications from nurses with experience of post-operative care or high dependency care (Level 2).
We are a friendly, and very welcoming maternity service, and offer a robust training programme for nurses joining our service.
Main duties of the job
Use your clinical experience and skills you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of programmes of care for women and babies.
Care for women, birthing people and babies in the maternity service receiving post operative care by undertaking appropriate monitoring and intervention.
Provide care for women requiring high dependency care under the supervision of the multi disciplinary care.
Working collaboratively with all members of the MDT
