Tissue Viability Specialist Nurse Band 6 - Permanent vacancy
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Tissue viability team to work across Tameside and Glossop integrated care Trust.
As a Band 6 Tissue viability nurse, you will be expected to triage patient referrals and incident reports, prioritise workload, Assess and review patients holistically supporting a dressing plan and for the appropriate equipment to aid healing/prevent deterioration.
It is a part of the Tissue Viability specialist nursing role to educate and empower clinical nursing staff to provide high standards of care to our patients.
The Tissue Viability team have an understanding of the reporting and
investigation of pressure ulcer incidents, supporting the clinical managers and the Tissue Viability lead nurse with this is also a part of the tissue viability specialist nursing role.
Within the tissue Viability team there is:
- Lead Nurse
-Tissue Viability Team leader
-Tissue Viability specialist Nurse
-Tissue Viability RNA
-Admin and equipment support member.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have responsibility for management of the routine activities of the Tissue Viability Team, providing specialist wound care advice, organising workload, exercising leadership and judgement to ensure good clinical practises and high standards of care are maintained in order to meet service demand.
You will be working within an integrated team and be involved with the current changes and developments within the organisation.
Assess and develops students and junior staff to reach their potential by designing learning programmes and acting as a student assessor.
