An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and proactive individual to join the leadership team responsible for the Respiratory Directorate at Wythenshawe, Trafford, Withington & Altrincham Hospitals.

The post will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to gain experience in a wide variety of operational issues and management of performance targets at a very exciting time for our Division.

The successful applicant will have experience of managing a team excellent communication skills, meeting performance targets and deadlines, and a strong aptitude for change. You will need excellent organisational skills to co-ordinate the delivery of a comprehensive, high quality service for our patients. You will manage information in relation to the patient pathways, act as point of escalation with the senior management team, and support service development projects within the Division.

Main duties of the job

Develop initiatives and manage the implementation of projects to continuously improve specialist services and improve facilities and working practices to meet service delivery plans.

Develop and implement plans in conjunction with Specialty Leads and the Directorate Manager to ensure capacity meets demand and patient experience is paramount.

Ensure that administration support for the directorate is delivered efficiently and effectively, reporting issues to the Directorate Manager and implementing steps to improve administration support as necessary.
