The hospital is set in the heart of Torbay - the English Riviera an area of outstanding beauty with unrivalled access to the beautiful Devon coastline and picturesque hills of Dartmoor, offering an array of leisure activities.
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and driven individual to come join our wonderful team of passionate, and innovative physiologists.
We would be interested to hear from qualified physiologists with an interest in CRM and Cath Lab.
Ideally you will be experienced in working unsupervised, in both Brady and Complex devices, But we would also like applications from less experienced Physiologists who wish to develop a career in CRM and Cath Lab.
IBHRE/BHRS qualification is required for Band 7
Main duties of the job
The team of Cardiac Physiologists cover a comprehensive range of invasive and non-invasive procedures including cardiac monitoring analysis, exercise tolerance testing, pacemaker and complex device follow-up clinics.
We have an expanding cardiac device home monitoring service and we were one of the first centres to run a physiologist-led LINQ implanting service.
About us
The hospital serves a population of approximately 300,000 plus another 100,000 at any one time during the summer holiday season.
The Torbay Cardiac Centre was open in 2003 with two modern Cardiac Cath labs which were updated in 2015 providing both elective and non-elective procedures. We offer a 24/7 primary PCI service with the ability to perform rotablation, IVUS, pressure wires and intra-aortic balloon pumps, as well as brady and complex pacing including subcutaneous ICD implantation.
The successful candidate will be expected to take part on the on-call rota.
