Our A& E are looking for Nurses to join its supportive, encouraging and friendly 'ED Family' that is developing with the changing needs of the population offering a variety of rotas patterns suitable to everyone's needs, days, nights, twilight, shorter day shifts for returning parents, all will be considered.
Our AMU (Acute Medical Unit) is a medical assessment centre that are looking for Nurses to join its team.
You will be joining a professional and highly committed 'family' that prioritises you and all its staff, championing and aiding you to provide excellent patient care delivered in a kind and friendly manner in one of the busiest A& E departments in the region offering you a career in a fast paced, exciting and rewarding role.
Please be advised we cannot accept applications on this post for those that need to complete the OSCE exam. Applicants must have already obtained their NMC pin.
Main duties of the job
No two days in the department are ever the same, so we can guarantee you a varied and interesting workload. In return, we would need someone with excellent organisational skills, the capability to prioritise a busy workload, masses of professionalism, good teamwork skills and an ability to work under pressure.
Your role will involve a massive variety of clinical situations, needing a variety of skills, where you 'Make the Difference' to Patients, their Family/Carers and your Colleagues by offering a supportive, informative and holistic approach to nursing care and day to day clinical issues using your effective, empathetic and organisational skills.
You may be working in various areas of the ED from Minors, applying dressings, plaster casts and wound closure, in Majors, dealing with serious, complex cases and in our Resuscitation Area, dealing with life threatening cases, all requiring you to have experience of, and ability to, perform in the areas with a clear understanding of escalation and the ability to make clinical decisions that prioritise care.
Full and ongoing training will be given, and you will be nurtured and supported throughout your career with frequent opportunities to progress, expand and consolidate your knowledge with a view to advancing your career path.
