We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Education Trainer to join our newly established Sexual Abuse and Assault Pathway in North Staffordshire. This role is to work exclusively in the Sexual Assault services pathway provided by North Staffordshire combined NHS Trust, VCSE (Survive and Woman's aid) and Staffordshire police crime commissioner.

Main duties of the job

Ensuring and enhancing the provision of high quality education and training with regards to trauma-informed mental health support for victims of sexual assault, abuse and violence.

Provide efficient co-ordination and delivery of related training and education opportunities in relation to the SAAS Service. This will include training for Trust staff, voluntary sector partner services, wider system partners to increase awareness and understanding. Delivery and facilitation to service users where relevant will be required to promote and inform about the service.

The post holder will be required to support a breadth of training and education delivery pertaining to the experience and mental health needs of victims. This may include delivery to allied professionals, voluntary and community sector services, service users and peer support networks.

The SAAS Team Education Trainer should be friendly and approachable, organised and effective, able to build relationships, run events and above all, be passionate and prepared to work hard to ensure that service users have a real voice in shaping and improving peoples experience of the service.

• Degree level qualifications. NVQ assessor

Experience

Essential

• Thorough understanding of education and learning in relation to health and social care and/or sexual assault or abuse services.

• Up to date experience within a training role (last 12 months)

Knowledge

• Ability to create, deliver and evaluate effective training packages to meet the requirements of the Service and appropriate legislation.

Desirable

• Project management awareness associated with educational change.
