We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking and forward thinking band 6 qualified nurses to join our dynamic and friendly neonatal team on a permanent and fixed term basis.
We have an 18 bedded level 2 unit, looking after babies from 27 weeks gestation which includes 2 ITU cots and 4 HDU, as well as a 9 bedded transitional care unit.
We support and work closely with Hereford Neonatal unit by accepting both in-utero and ex-utero transfers for babies requiring ITU and HDU services.
We provide stabilisation for babies below 27 weeks in emergency cases, and work alongside transport services and the West Midlands Operational Delivery Neonatal Network to transfer them to more suitable NICUs.
We are passionate about, and promote baby friendly standards and family integrated care and are looking towards becoming a standalone baby friendly Neonatal Unit.
The staff on our neonatal unit are in sub-teams lead by band 6 nurses, focusing on areas they are passionate about within neonatal care. This gives staff excellent opportunities for both personal and professional development and job satisfaction.
We support and encourage professional development, and we are proud to have designated educators who cover paediatrics and neonates, who work closely and support all staff.
If this sounds like somewhere you would like to work, and you think you are a suitable candidate please contact Ward Manager Anya Wright on 01905 760661 or alternatively email anya.wright@nhs.net
