Then a career in Health Visiting may be for you.Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is currently looking to recruit motivated, and enthusiastic Registered Nurses or Midwives who have a passion for working with Children and Families and the Public Health Agenda. This is a brand new post and an exciting opportunity to introduce the successful candidates to the role of the Health Visitor, in preparation to commence training to complete the Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) SCPHN in Health Visiting. You will be given the opportunity to have full funding to study for the BSc Hons/Post Graduate Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) (Health Visitor) from September 2023 in conjunction with the University of Wolverhampton. You will develop your skills, knowledge and understanding of the public health approach to reducing health inequalities in line with the Healthy Child Programme 0-5 years.
Main duties of the job
Day to day relationship will be with other members of The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, Health Visitors, Public Health Associates, Administration Officers, patients, carers and multi-agency professionals.
Training and evaluation will be provided to enable the individual to develop the competence to function effectively within this role and will have the exposure to the mandated contacts of a Health Visitor in order to help them to progress onto the Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) SCPHN training in Health Visiting.
Car driver and access to a car daily essential.
