Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT) invites applications for a full time Specialty Doctor in Perinatal Psychiatry to join our small and able team of doctors providing comprehensive perinatal mental health services.

CWPT provides Mental Health, Learning Disability and Community services to over one million people living in Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull and seeing on average around 5000 patients every day. Main duties of the job

Assessing and treating women with mental health problems who are pregnant or up to one-year post-partum. You'll work as part of the team and will be expected to liaise closely with maternity services at our three acute hospitals, primary care, and secondary care mental health services.

This post is full-time (7 PAs in Direct Clinical Care and 3 PAs in Supporting Professional Activities). The current expectation is that the post-holder will participate in the Psychiatry on call rota across the region for SAS doctors / ST 4-6 with a frequency of one in eight. Covering general adult and older adult Psychiatry inpatient and community as well as Learning Disabilities.

As a teaching Trust with close links to Warwick & Buckingham Medical Schools the post holder will be expected to take part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.

The post holder will be a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, or having an equivalent postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry, full GMC Registration, and eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register in psychiatry (or within 6 months of completing CCT). The post holder must also be eligible for Approved Clinician Status and be Section 12 approved.

The post holder must have a valid driving license or access to an appropriate means of independent transport commensurate with travelling required to fulfil the role.
